We spent today shopping, visiting bike shops, outdoor clothing shops, Frys electronic store, the San Antonio Center and of course a Safeways Supermarket for food. Brendan who had just driven up from Los Angeles became the driver having adapted really well to driving on the right hand side of the road. Vern equipped himself with Russell’s detailed road map of the Bay Area and became the navigator, with Raewyn the GPS operator. I just made sure everything went nice and smoothly and that common sense prevailed.
Calvin adapted really well to having lots of people around him and he quickly shook off some initial shyness and started showing us some of his tricks.
One of the fascinations Calvin had at around this time was with shoes and walking feet. If you were carrying him he would lean over and examine the pair of walking feet that were propelling him forward.
