Vern and I took Calvin to the park this morning. He was so serious but was quite confident on all the equipment. Vern was taking lots of photos of him playing but it was impossible to get a smile out of him. Sometimes he was quite happy to observe the other children playing and you could see he was just dying to join them. He particularly liked playing in the sand and a very friendly father gave him some sand equipment to play with. On the way back home he was very smiley and playful. After lunch we met Russell and Novey at San Jose’s Vanity Fair shopping mall. We noticed it was a Westfield owned mall – the same company that owns a lot of the malls here. We spent a few hours browsing the shops here but Russell and Novey decided they would go off elsewhere to shop. We had dinner here before going back to Mountain View.
