Sunday 28th
Second night at Wanaka
Awoke to a very cold morning with fresh snow on the hills and a heavy
cloud filled sky. It stayed cold all day. A lot of the scenic spots
we had planned on motoring to were not possible owing to the weather
so we opted for in and around Wanaka. A short drive out of town to
Puzzling World. Spent some time looking at the shops. Drove around
to Glendhu Bay in the freezing rain. Tried out some of the coffee shops.
Went to the Toy and Transport Museum just out of town. Looked at some
subdivisions near the lake front. Temperature 5 degrees C. Watched
the snow line come lower and lower on the hills. Motel $100per night.
Rating 4/10.
