Date: c1929 Description: Taken on the front verandah at 88 West End Rd. The ear phones were one of a couple of pairs that were used in a crystal set. A crystal set was a radio which ran without batteries and used a cats whisker and crystal to convert the AM radio wave to low level audio which was heard through the phones.
