Date: Description: This part of the foreshore is about 6-700m from Nellies Point facing out into Big Omaha Bay and is just below where John Smiths house was located. The area of cleared rocks was to facilitate the launching and landing of small craft though I think it was only used by the Smiths. This area slightly further on is known as Neelies Reef where a small rocky outcrop runs underwater into the bay for about 100m. In the photo a figure is apparently taking a photoof the boy with a stick who has apparently caught a large fish.
